Masterclaves

Our Masterclave line of media preparators automates the media making process by offering a more efficient, reproducible and safer method than conventional flasks. Simply add liquid, powder and press “start.” The system will have your sterile media, diluent or water ready in 90 minutes or less.

The Masterclave line is available in two sizes (liters): 9 and 28. All units have a programmable microprocessor which stores up to 40 programs including media type, sterilization time, sterilization temperature, and supplement/blood cycle addition. They are programmable simply by a question/answer prompt on the display and once running, no operator attention is required. Addition ports allow injection of supplement or blood after sterilization, before dispensing and the stirring mechanism runs continuously to insure a completely homogeneous mixture of media. Compliance with all safety standards, including explosion proof Perspex lid with automatic safety lock. Lid cannot be opened above 80oC. All units can be purchased with an optional ticket printer for cycle information including media type, batch number, date, time and user. After the cycle is complete your Masterclave unit can be connecting directly to a peristaltic pump or the APS 320 plate pourer for automated dispensing.

The heating and cooling elements of all the systems are housed within the unit. No external steam supply is necessary. The Masterclave 9 features a lid-opening device; the hinged cover can be removed using only one hand.
